Howard Weldon, President
Mr. Weldon is a graduate of the National Commercial Lending Graduate School of Banking at the University of Oklahoma where he received the designation of CCL, Certified Commercial Lender. He completed coursework at Williams College, Wharton School of Business, Duke University, advanced real estate at Harvard University and has been a guest lecturer at Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota.
Mr. Weldon served as President of Valley National Bank in Apple Valley, MN and as Vice President and COO of Fidelity Bank and Trust Co. in Burnsville, MN. He was also a Vice President with First Bank Edina in Edina, MN, where he headed various lending departments as well as being charged with Strategic Planning for the bank. He spent four years as a Commissioner on the Planning Commission for the City of Apple Valley, MN.
Mr. Weldon served in Branch Administration for Peoples Bank in Rhode Island for over ten years. Locations included Providence Main Office, Wayland Square, Barrington and Johnston.
With more than 35 years in the real estate and financing industry, Mr. Weldon will use these skills to appropriately structure the proper financing package.
Greg Contardo, Executive Vice President
As a senior at the University of Rhode Island, College of Engineering Mr. Contardo discovered his true passion; real estate development and construction. By his mid 20’s he had designed, built and managed over 36 condominium and apartment units. Greg started two successful Design / Build construction companies (Constructech Inc. and CAD Structures Inc.) hinged on his engineering background and the newly emerging 3D Computer Design technology. Hundreds of construction and design projects later Greg, as a commercial real estate broker and developer, concentrated on large scale projects. Developing an affinity for reclamation projects, Mr. Contardo acquired and designed a Planned Development on 130 acre university campus site, a golf course on a retired landfill site and multiple mill rehab projects. Greg was the lead developer on two other golf course projects including 200 condominiums tactfully situated on existing country club settings. Coordinating essential partners and third party professionals he negotiated land purchase, project finance, planning, legal, architecture, engineering, market research, environmental remediation and the rigid political and regulatory issues.
Through his involvement with larger, complicated projects, Mr. Contardo consulted and coordinated funding for a professional sports team, multiple Hollywood movie projects and different startup companies. Always interested in the technical and engineering side of business he has more recently helped raise funding for ‘Green Technology’ startup ventures.
Greg, an Eagle Scout, is a proud dad of two sons and has been happily married for over twenty years.
